SpeedX, certified performance
Kiwivelo in Auckland, known to carry only the best of products, now has SpeedX on the shelf. Leading manufacturers of bikes and bike-components are testing SpeedX and you will find high end shops over the next weeks offering SpeedX. Riders interested in extreme lubrication performance and reliability will be the first ones to go for SpeedX.
We have asked testers to run SpeedX in the most extreme conditions. So far the comments are entirely positive. At the same time, we are struggling to find a magazine willing to publish the results from the Dulux corrosion test where NZ`s best selling bike lubricants were bench marked against SpeedX.
Lets face it, today´s high tech bikes, bearings, chains and sprockets have been lubricated with yesterdays oils. All sorts of claims about performance are made on adverts and bottles. But hard data to verify these claims is almost impossible to find.
What good will the best bearing and drive-train do for you, when it´s lubrication is washed away in the first shower ?
How much do you really enjoy cleaning and re-lubricating bearings and chains ? Spending most of my time with heavy industry, aviation clients, ferry lines and fishing fleets, I dare say that none of them would rely on pure claims like the bike riders do. The industry decides on data and certifications. Not on hear say. So we think it´s about time that today´s riders are getting best value for money when they ask for proper lubricants.
Doesn´t matter if you rely on the bike in all weather commute or you went out to win the race. SpeedX is applied extremely thin, making it highly economical and durable while avoiding the chain to pick up dirt.
We think riders, just like automotive customers, factory engineers or pilots, should have the right to know if the lube they bought actually performs. With comparable data, certified by DIN or ASTM standards. That way the rider can actually compare lubrication, toxicity, durability and corrosion protection and make an informed decision.
Either way, SpeedX has arrived to NZ looking for it´s match. Bring it on!
