CorrosionX and CorrosionX Heavy Duty – Great Results in the Paper Industry

CorrosionX and CorrosionX Heavy Duty have their origins in Aviation and the Military. Strangely enough, the extreme performance called for in large weapon systems makes them so incredibly suitable for the use in the paper industry as well.

Heat resistance, lubrication values, resistance to chemicals like Peroxide, thin film performance, corrosion protection values and extreme low toxicity tick all the paper industry boxes.

The Paraffin based products are working on “Polar Bonding” technology. A coating of only 4 micron is fully sufficient to provide protection from corrosion like common rust, oxidization and electrolysis.

As the coating is so thin, it does not fling off and attracts, if any, less dust than any other coating of it´s kind. Perfect for moving production parts or storage of “rolls”.

The lack of VOC´s (commonly called “thinners”) makes sure the product never gunks up or goes hard and tacky. The wear scar lubrication factor of 0,4 is almost twice as good as a PTFE grease, and is always maintained.

CorrosionX and CorrosionX HD can be applied with a brush, a sprayer, a cloth or by aerosol. Fast application and fast, nature friendly, removal with Xtreme Clean if need be. No plastic waste or buckets full of clibby paste !

The dielectric strength of more than 35.000 Volt (HD 25.000 volt) stops electrolysis on impact. Combined with the outstanding lubrication value makes these products world leading assembly compounds. Galling/freezing can be avoided. As such thin coating is sufficient for full effect, and knowing the product is a superfast penetrant, there will always be protection between dissimilar metals on assembly. The same benefits are enjoyed when CorrosionX is used as a penetrant.

Hydrogen Peroxide, the “killer compound” in every paper factory, is slowed to an almost complete halt where CorrosionX and CorrosionX HD is used on i.e. drive chains, bearings, levers, hinges and other moving parts. A 1 year test at a large Australian paper mill brought the chain failure of a large installation down from 5 breakdowns a year (total factory stop) to a spectacular ZERO. After 1 year of applying CorrosionX HD, the chain links and pins driving this installation, were still lubricated. Pulleys, tensioners, and sprockets running the CX HD coated chain showed only a fraction of wear compared to those running the commonly used lubrication oils.

Last not least CorrosionX products will help with waterproofing electronics and electrics, including multiplugs, emergency switches, solenoids, PCB´s and limiter switches in the harshest and wettest conditions.

The product temperature range of -30 C to 275 C covers pretty much all applications in the papermill. The products, made to last on Navy ships and fighter planes, is extremely resistant to wash off.
